In the morning we had a visit from the very talented engineer Felice Allievi. He spent a few hours with the studio discussing the use of “Sofistik” a Finite Element Modeling program to test out structures and give advice on how to get accurate calculations.
After this session with Felice, and just in time for the weekend. Joseph H. Kennedy presented his Fulbright project “Outpost”. It’s a new interpretation of the camping movement that emerged during the 70’s and 80’s in the US. A highly mobile unit that throughout the day can be adjusted to the function and solar ingress. The exhibition showcases several from-finding studies through precises “origami” paper models and colorful diagrams. The exhibition is possible to see in the AHO gallery for the next few days.
